How To Whitelist The Big Red Button Alert Number

Folks are getting more aggressive about screening calls from numbers they don’t recognize. To make sure your alert call actually gets through — and doesn’t get marked as spam or sent to voicemail — every one of your emergency contacts should save your alert number to their phone’s contacts as a part of setting up.

(For the system to work, you MUST make this a priority!)

Give each of your 3 emergency contacts this number:  479-348-8453

• Ask them to save it as a new contact — a label like “[Your Name] EMERGENCY ALERT” works well, so that their phone instantly recognizes it if it rings.
• Explain WHY: Saving the number in their contacts is the single best way to stop the carrier’s spam filters from screening or blocking the call.
• Once they’ve saved it, you can use the Testing page in the app to place a real test call to each contact, and confirm that it comes through clearly labeled — not marked as “Spam” or similar.

Doing this once, AHEAD of time, is what makes sure emergency alert actually reaches them when it matters most.
